CUMBERLAND Council has advised Ausgrid that it does not support the installation of 33.000 volt overhead powerlines as part of the Camellia to Lidcombe powerline project and requests that consistent with other projects in the region, underground cables be used for the project. PENRITH City Council says the Department of Planning and Environment forecasts predicts at least 6600 new homes will be built in the Penrith local government area by 2020/21.
