These businesses drive the economy, support their communities, enrich culture and bring people together.
Over 5,500 entries were received from diverse business sectors located in cities, rural, regional and suburban towns throughout Australia. The judging process was rigorous and highly competitive with 1,423 finalists selected across 106 categories, each of whom demonstrated why small businesses are so vital to our nation’s prosperity.
The winners were announced at two spectacular National Gala Presentation Evenings held at The Star Sydney on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, 2025. As part of their achievement, the winner of each category received a custom Champions statuette trophy and certificate, along with national recognition as an industry leader.
Steve Loe, Founder of the Australian Small Business Champion Awards and Managing Director of Precedent Productions, shared his admiration for this year’s finalists and winners:
“For 27 years, I have had the pleasure of presenting a program that recognises and rewards hard-working, spirited Australians who grow their businesses from start-ups to industry leaders. Operating a small business today requires steadfast commitment, leadership, savviness, creativity, people skills, vision, social consciousness and a spirited drive - all elements of success that our independent judging panel pinpointed among the key reasons for their selection of winners.”
“I am immensely proud of the growth of this program and the launching pad it provides to the most deserving small business operators. These people work tirelessly to support their communities, encourage others to strive for success, and inspire us all with their dedication and perseverance” added Mr Loe.
The 2025 Gala Presentation Evenings were a celebration of small business excellence, with Friday’s event hosted by Nine presenter and journalist Jayne Azzopardi, and Saturday hosted by popular Nine News presenter Peter Overton. Each evening welcomed over 1,000 small business representatives and featured dazzling entertainment in a setting that resembled the “Oscars of Australian Small Business.”
The Awards were supported by Major Partners NOVA Employment, VJB Group, Xcllusive Business Sales, Castaway Forecasting, Big Clean, and Boa. Access News published a ferature on regional winners in the April edition - see HERE
