Mesut's property business has the personal approach

By Di Bartok

IT was while working for a development company that Mesut Ulusoylu saw the need for more personalised approach to helping developers needing a comprehensive range of services.

And so Interlink Property Services Group was started, in January this year, setting up business in serviced offices in Parramatta.

Already attracting a steady stream of clients, Mesut and his small team offer a range of services to property developers big and small, including advice to families realising the potential of their large suburban blocks.

Interlink can assass projects, find sites, manage and promote projects. In other words, be there for the developer from the beginning to the end of a project.

All this with personalised service, something not found in many larger companies.

“Larger companies preach personalised service only to an extent,” Mesut said. “At Interlink, we sit down with the client and tailor our services to their needs.”

Clients can be small operations up to  a volume land and package builder or developers of high rise.

Mesut has more than nine years’ experience in property the management industry, most recently as Sydney regional sales manager for Stockland.

“With all my knowledge and experience, I decided it was time we branch out on our own, bringing in similar people to our small team,” Mesut said.

“The team at Interlink has more than 12 years combined knowledge in all aspects of project property from sourcing, managing, sales and marketing. Our core value is to exceed expectatons.”

So far the experience has been positive, although Mesut wants to take a steady approach. Based in the west, he is excited by the potential of the ever-growing region.

He sees Blacktown as the next boom town in terms of residential and commercial development.

The largest council area in terms of residential population, Blacktown has not reached its potential as a commercial centre.

“With the north west sector developing at a fast rate, developers will start to look at Blacktown more,” he said.

While excited about the rapid development of Parramatta as Sydney’s second CBD, Mesut warns that “too much overseas investment” could turn Parramatta into “one big rent city”.

As too much overseas investment pushes up prices for the local market, Mesut wants a more balanced approach from the council and land owners.

But, while Mesut looks to the future, he also is aware of the immense value heritage buildings and sites add to the west, especially in Parramatta, which has some of the oldest buildings in Australia.

“I love history and I think we need to preserve significant buildings, while still satisfying developers,” Mesut said.

Mesut is not for change for change’s sake. On council amalgamations, he would like to see uniform development standards across councils rather than unnecessary mergers.

“That way you can please developers and keep residents happy,” he said.

As he becomes established, Mesut, who lives with his partner in Holroyd Gardens, says his phone is “always on”.

”I leave home at 6.30am and come home about 6.30pm but I am really working seven days a week,” he said.
